Umhambi Children Fountain of Hope Trust

The Umhambi Orphan Project is a privat project initiated in 2008 by locals from Victoriafalls. There were and still is a high percentage of orphans attending the local schools. With money which was raised by supporters it was possible to pay the school fees, school uniforms costs and school equipment for 45 children aged 5 to 16.
The Umhambi Zambesi Project is registered as the Umhambi Children Foundation of Hope Trust since 2008 and is also registered at the PVO (Private Organization Board in Zimbabwe) since 2019.
The children of Umhambi Trust meet at Umhambi Drop-In Center after school or on Sundays doing their homework, helping each other, exchanging experiences and creating a family. Using computers and being able to have access to the internet allows them to acquire computer skills and to access information and tools of the internet to support their education. Some school teachers already use modern concepts of teaching which requires independent internet research by the pupils after school.
