Project information
Project description
The requested 15 laptops will be used as shared educational devices within Swiss NewEra by Niama’s digital classroom to deliver hands-on training in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, IoT, Cybersecurity, Digital Literacy, and Online Safety (including cyberbullying awareness and prevention).
Each class will consist of approximately 15 students and 4 teachers, allowing for a structured learning environment with guided, practical instruction. The laptops will be allocated primarily to students during lessons to ensure equal access to technology, particularly for learners who do not have personal devices at home, including youth, migrants, and community participants.
The devices will be used for:
• Coding and programming exercises (Python, Scratch, web development)
• AI and machine learning introductory projects
• Robotics and IoT simulations and control software
• Cybersecurity awareness training and safe internet practices
• Digital media, research, and collaborative classroom activities
Teachers will use the laptops for lesson delivery, demonstrations, supervision of student projects, and digital safety workshops. The equipment will support multiple target groups, including children, teenagers, adults, and migrant learners, across structured courses and community training sessions.
By providing 15 laptops for a class size of 15 students, the project ensures one-device-per-learner access during sessions, enabling fully interactive, practical STEM education and promoting digital inclusion in the Zurich region.
