The project name is Smile Education aim to address issues relates with sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender, teenage pregnancy, menstruation, and early marriage as a result of girls drops out from school.
Hekima is an NGO with a focus on child rights. This means, that the targets are children at risks such as street children, girls at risk of child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and those who are likely the face similar risks in the future Hekima” is a Swahili word that means wisdom. The project is intended to address issues related to sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender, pregnancies, menstruation, and early marriage as a result of girls drop out from school.
The organization believes technology has positive contributions in the community like access to various information sources. Also the possibility to connect with people all over the world to share knowledge and experiences. decrease girls' drop out while increasing the attendance in 3 secondary schools of Bukoba District Council where they will access different lessons including menstruation and sexual and reproductive health and rights education through digital mode are the advantages of lessons in digital mode. Like diverse methods of teaching that can be used with computers. Also is more sustainable than using printed materials
Also, laptops will contribute to academic lessons like math or science as well as the computer will prepare the students for future jobs. other computer literacies as a result of increased knowledge Skillset expect students to continue to teach their fellows peer-to-peer education to ensure this education is furthered. However, the laptops, tablets, and eBooks could also support the staff to educate themselves about the stated topics and to develop creative learning tools for the students.
