Project description
The project is an educational centre for Syrian children aged 4 to 16 years living in Ghaza and the surrounding villages. The centre works 2 shifts per day the first one is for grades 1 to 9 and the second for kindergarten.
Grades 1 to 9 (Number of students in these grades is 314 students): Each of these grades attend classes 3 days per week before they go to their afternoon shift in formal school. students in grades1,2,3,4 learn Math’s, Sciences, English, Arabic, and sport and in grades 5,6,7,8 learn Math’s, Sciences, English, Arabic, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Kindergarten (Number of students in these grades is 142 students): There are 5 classes in this shift (1 class KG1 – 2 classes KG2 – 2 classes KG3). All classes take place 5 days per week and students learn English, Arabic, Maths, Sports, practical classes (agriculture, animal’s elevation, etc).
In addition to education, the centre provides psychosocial support to students with a lot of recreational activities that help relieve stress and release them.
With the development that is taking place today and the use of modern technology to facilitate daily life, work, learning and others, we seek in this project to help students to use them also especially in their studies so we work during the school year that will start this month to teach students the basics of using computers and programs that help them to explore, knowledge and conduct Scientific research.
Each class will have a weekly computer learning session with a trained instructor and that is why we ask for our help in securing laptops to achieve our goal.
