Project description
ADET is a “Not For Profit” / Public Benefit Organisation situated, in the historically disadvantaged community of Westbury, Johannesburg.South Africa. We are committed to the upliftment of underprivileged: children, young adults and teachers in our immediate area.
Our mission is to facilitate educational programmes driven by technology that respond to the needs of the learners and institutions in the communities we serve. We want to nurture a generation of young Africans, through technology and learning, we enable them to achieve an advanced, globally competitive standard in education. We work closely with the community and other similarly-minded organisations to achieve our mandate of helping those that really need it.
We offer programs in the educational fields of “STEM”: Science, Technology, English (changed, for our purposes, from Engineering) and Mathematics; as well as Personal Development.
Our classes/courses are either free or approximately 90% subsidised to participants.
