Project information
Project description
The NGO that trains people with disabilities and others marginalized youths to unleash potentials and create social enterprises to become economically Independent
According to the international labor organization, people with disabilities are among the poorest in the developing countries because their chance of getting decent jobs are reduced due to their physical condition
In DRC, FENAPHACO, the Congolese Federation of People with Disabilities stated that 93% of people with disabilities are jobless. Economically, their future is not reassuring.
To solve this problem, we, Congo Innovation Academy, CINA in acronym, have found it excellent to equip young people living with physical disabilities with the means which allow them to become themselves social entrepreneurs capable of jobs for themselves and for others.
THE VISION OF CONGO INNOVATION ACADEMY
Our vision is to create a better economic future for the entire generation of young people living with disabilities.
We use social entrepreneurship and self-organization as effective tools for the empowerment and job creation for young people with disabilities and others
We also believe that these young people live a unique experience which allows them to design projects-solutions for all people with or without visible disability.
HOW WILL WE USE THE COMPUTERS?
Computers are more important tools for the team of trainers and for our students because they facilitate our task in the preparation of lessons,
PowerPoints and in professionalism. We will use the computers to help our students master the computer and new technology skills that are essential in today's social entrepreneurship, as well as making research to perform well and grow in the areas they need.
This year, we have a goal of making an ICT Hub where we will be training our students in research areas and in computer literacy so that they can be used to technology and e-learning.
We have a list of 8 permanent trainers with 21 students. Each trainer delivers a specific session and leads students applying the sessions in their professional journey.
