Project description
RefuGeek is a series of courses that aim to offer refugees and asylum seekers around the world the opportunity to learn basic code and web design skills in order to give them the skills they need to succeed in society today. Our mission is to unlock the asset of displaced talent through teaching code and design, allowing them to create employment opportunities for themselves after relocation. We are a non-profit entity sponsored by the Fargo Foundation in Hong Kong, using academic curriculum provided by BSD Code and Design Academy. We deliver technology education to refugees and asylum seekers in Asia. We believe that everyone should have the right to technology education and learn the skills needed to succeed in the world of today and tomorrow.
