Project description
jCoders is a social enterprise whose purpose is to build the culture of creativity and innovation in our new generation by teaching them to create with technology.
By enabling our youth to be creative and innovative, we are directly creating a critical mass of people that tomorrow will redefine our economic status. Taking into consideration that Kosovo has not yet defined its economic identity, we believe that empowering our youth is of crucial importance to our future,
especially having the advantage of being a country with the youngest population in Europe.
jCoders was founded in year 2015 and offers training services for children and youth ages 8 to 18 in technology. Through our curricula we aim to develop digital and 21st century skills in our students, and better prepare them for the digital era.
jCoders is an accredited institution from AKK (Autoriteti kombetar I kualifikimeve) and has developed a 3 year long curricula for ages 8 to 14 and 15 to 18, and we are in the process of international accreditation from AdvancEd as a STEM certified Institution.
Today through jCoders we drive our students through basic fundamentals of programming skills to more advanced technological concepts that enable them to build and ultimately use technology as a tool to solve problems they identify in their society.
From 2015 jCoders has scaled from 15 students to 800+ and expanded in 5 centres in Kosovo: Prishtina, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Prizren and Peja, with 25 employees (male:11 female:14 ) and a center in Tirana, Albania.
