Project information
Project description
Ilkinding’s Cultural Tourism Program is one of the first 19 Projects in Tanzania managed by local communities under an official umbrella by the state of Tanzania. I visited the Massai-led project in August 2022. About 20.000 Massai live in the village of Ilkindig’s, just outside of Arusha, growing their own crops and cattle. They built school buildings in order for the state to provide teachers, but they have literally no resources. Educational content was painted on the school buildings’ walls by volunteers. In order to succeed in higher education the project needs 3-4 laptops for their secondary schools.
Provide valuable and up-to-date education in secondary schools and where needed in projects of primary school in Ilkiding’a, learn how to use a computer in order to qualify for higher education.
