SINA LOKETA is a learning environment created as a live changing start up incubation hub that supports young refugees and marginalized youths to unleash their potentials, discover their purposes in life as well as their talents and while solving global challenges from the root causes in their local communities.
In our hub youth are in charge of themselves in self-organized and freesponsible community hubs and the scholars will be using the laptops for research and self-learning to uplift their talents. Skills are also gained through taking over responsibilities, leading the community through self-manegment and learning how to become a leader through actually leading.jobs are created, and refuges build a sustainable future in Uganda, not having to continue to flee.
Due to war and insecurities in countries such as such as DR Congo, South Sudan, Burundi and Somalia, millions of people were forced to leave everything behind and become refugees. In every minute, 24 people around the world are forced to flee their homes which amount to 34,000 people a day that leave everything behind looking for safety and a better tomorrow. Today, there are 65.6 million forcibly displaced persons in the world and over 1.6 million of refugees only in Uganda. An already existing 83% of youth unemployed in Uganda makes the situation impossible for refugees and marginalizes youths to get jobs. Refugees are often seen as burdens, misfits, and nonproductive people. Even the refugees with education backgrounds and university graduates, are still discriminated against and often denied employment opportunities that could help to sustain their life and communities.

The donation has enable the organization to increase the capacity of the ICT center which has enable our scholars to have access to computer devices and are able to learn new ICT skills and make research for their project ideas.
We are very happy and very grateful for your contribution to the organization, and now our scholars are able to do research and learn. Even if we have a big number of scholars in our hub, this support will help our scholars to get access to the devices. The 4 additional laptops and two tablets you donated to our hub are helping a lot, and we believe that, soon we shall get some travelers who will bring the remaining laptops to add on the ones we received from Labdoo Germany to help our scholar to get full access to enough computers."
