Project information
Project description
Each year a group from St. Hildegardis-Gymnasium travels to Moree, Ghana, to work on a collaborative project dealing with environmental studies together with students from our Ghanaian partner school. The project phase lasts three weeks. This (2014) is our third visit to Ghana, and hopefully we will be able to host our first return visit from our Ghanaian partners in Germany in September 2014. We have already worked on such subtopics as global warming, pollution and recycling. This year's focus will be on alternative energy sources. The laptops will enable Ghanaian students to research scientific information, prepare presentations for the project phase and publication for different media (e.g. newspapers, radio...). They will facilitate contact between the Ghanaian and German partners and enhance the software skills of the Ghanaian students.
