Project information
    Project description
Walking for Peace is a social movement that seeks to transform children and young people so that they can be leaders within their families and society and is located in Paraiso 2 (Paradise II), Guatemala City. The main characteristic of these children is that they live in red zones and do not have enough economic resources to be able to compete with a society with a different economic stratum. Many of them also suffer violence within the family, families that are disintegrated or linked to gangs or extortion groups. Jordi was one of the children that Walking for Peace gave him an opportunity to overcome, however, the lack of support from his parents impacted him more and ended up bypassing the path of gangs. He was murdered by his "friends" of the gang four years ago (2014) when he was only 14 years old. Support with more computers will allow children not only to become familiar with current technology, conduct their research and other school tasks, but also remind us that everyone deserves an opportunity, but the first support is God and their families.
