Filotimo Language School

From a decent quantity of books (2,900) in three different languages we are setting up a School for teaching Spanish, English, and German. The teachers will be mainly foreigners who are travelling around Colombia and want to support the project. The diversity of topics and the interactions with foreigners would enrich the lives of the students and the neighbourhood. Therefore we foresee a great opportunity offering volunteering programmes to travellers mainly from developed countries. The target group of the School are children, teenagers and young adults from 6 to 25 years old.

Since the 1st of January 2020 we have a physical space with basic standards:rectangle area of 7 meters by 16 meters, water supply, electricity, lighting, Bathroom, two toilets, kitchen, wide main door (safe with triple lock), auxiliary door (emergency exit), 5 meters high ceiling, properly aired space.
Last November we were donated 12 professional student chairs with table, one whiteboard (3 meters by 1.5 meters), and a small desk. Firsts lessons are programmed to start by mid February by myself, Alejandro, Janine, another Swiss Volunteer ( who will Join in March), and maybe an official teacher from a government school.
