Cercle d'Amis de Hawa Dembaya

A brief document outlining our current program will be attached. We are a Swiss couple who has built a non-profit organisation in Mali. We are operating in Kayes, one of the hottest places in Mali, about 70km from Senegal. We are covering 4 pillars in our program: Water, Health, Schooling and Education.
We already have a small IT program and are sponsoring the electricity and costs of the teacher who is educating school children (last year schooling) to increase their opportunities on the job market in Kayes. We have “found” 15 computers in a room in Mali which we could get running. The IT room could not be used as the electricity was not paid. Our organsiation is taking over the costs for electricity and teaching. Our program is covering 10’000 people in Hawa-Dembaya. We would like to include more school children as the 15 in this program. In this area many of the young people are fleeing to Europe as they have no perspective on the job market. Besides offering the IT education, we also bought for example 8’000 books.
