Project information
Project description
The ASEI makerspace is a one stop center in Fort Portal for young people to gather, ideate, design and prototype STEM projects using shared equipment. The role of the makerspace is to contribute to ASEI’s vision of promoting innovation in Africa through youth and community STEM projects. The makerspace has initiatives such as design hackathons which engage students both at secondary and university level of education. The laptops will be used by students, who are members of the makerspace or who are part of school outreach activities for engineering design and coding purposes. ASEI staff may also use the laptops to fulfill the objectives of the organization in line with the makerspace project set up.
