No battery. Fixed the display problem by using Lubuntu 16.04.1 rather than Lubuntu 16.04. To get the Broadcom wifi working (BCM 4311), I used "apt get install firmware-b43-install" as described in http://askubuntu.com/questions/55868/installing-broadcom-wireless-drivers. D520g in my records. -BA
