Project information
Project description
In 2018, after winning a small national grant for organising a coding event with Scratch, the primary school teacher from the only School in Vadu-Parului village (a 2.000 people village) founded also a Scratch Club. 30 from the 90 primary school students are already participating on a regular basis in the club’s activity. Apart from learning visual programming, the children enrolled in the club also learn how to use other digital instruments like Filmora Go, Wonder Video, VIVA Show, Kine Master,Canva, WordArt, StopMotion or even Skype. Now, the school relies on the current IT infrastructure that consist of only 20 very old (and mostly not working) desktop computers. To cover more activities and accept more children in the club, they need some more new computers for which they do not have any funding. The Scratch club’s activity is coordinated by 4 volunteer primary school teachers.
