The Biggest Barefoot League in the World. We bring together young people between the ages of 8-18 years in a sports league where we teach them life skills, conservation and grow their talents. This is a community project that is school-based. The goal is to improve education retention and to promote healthy behavior among young people. in 2022, we trained 30 coaches and referees from 10 schools in Adjumani, Uganda. This was to improve their capacity and also to grow sustainability in the community. This area is inhabited by refugees as well. So our intervention will target both refugees and the host community. The aim of the laptops will be to teach the participants with ICT skills and to help the children of this community reach a certain level of their counterparts across the country. This region is one of the poorest and most illiterate in Uganda. With the combination of sports and computer skills, we are confident that the children of this community will greatly improve their education retention levels, acquire more skills, and get inspired.
