Bridging technological gap of KIDA by building digital capacity of staff and volunteers to expedite women economic empowerment and the fight for women and girls rights
KIDA is a community based organisation operating in the rural and hard to reach mountaneous areas, we economically empower rural and marginalisedwomen such that they are able to exercise their rights, the project will enhance technological capacity of our staff, volunteers and data collectors to improve operational efficiency,communication and impact, during KIDA needs assessment, we realised that staff lacks enough laptops limiting access to necessary hardware and software, and also 2 of laptops that we own are outdated that limit us from accessing certain upgraded hardwares and softwares, during data collection and analysis, our data collectors also lack enough equipment to efficiently collect quality data, we are requestuing Labdoo to bridge the gap by providing KIDA with laptops and tablets, when supported, we shall use the laptops to access upgraded hardwares and softwares, in our organisational budgets, we shall include training and capacity building costs to train our staff, volunteers and data collectors on how to use the laptops and enhance staff digital literacy, the laptops and tablets will improve data mangement, data collection, analysis and decision making, KIDA also has been training young girls and women in tailoring skill with tools received from abroad, having laptops can also help train these women and girls on necessary and simple computer skills for added value in the job market
