Das Institute for Indian Mother and Child (IIMC) ist eine indische Nichtregierungsorganisation mit Haupttätigkeit und Hauptsitz in Kalkutta, Indien. 1989 wurde IIMC von dem indischen Arzt Sujit Kumar Brahmochary gegründet, um den Ärmsten der Armen (das eigentlich verbotene Kastensystem besteht leider immer noch) in Kalkutta und Umgebung zu helfen und die Lebenssituation dieser Menschen nachhaltig zu verbessern. Vor allem das Wohl der Mütter und Kinder und die Unterstützung der Frauen auf dem Weg zu mehr Selbstbestimmung stehen im Mittelpunkt.
Die Laptops (2) werden zur Verwaltung der Projekte benötigt. Das Institut hat folgende Projektbereiche: Schulbildung, Patenschaftsprogramm, Mikrokreditsystem, Kuh-Patenschaftsprojekt, medizinische Grundversorgung, Aus- und Weiterbildung von Frauen.
