Project information
    Project description
The Okiri Digital & Financial Literacy Program is an initiative of Soulevement C.B.O based in Kisumu, Kenya. The program supports vulnerable young people aged 15–18, including youth who are at risk of social exclusion or who have previously been in conflict with the law.
Through this program, we provide digital literacy training, financial literacy education, life skills development, and mentorship. Our goal is to help these young people reintegrate into education, build confidence, and improve their opportunities for employment or entrepreneurship.
Many of the youth participating in the program have never had access to computers before. Access to laptops will allow us to provide practical digital skills that are increasingly essential for education, employment, and participation in the modern economy.
The laptops will be used for:
    • Basic computer literacy training
    • Typing and document creation
    • Internet research and digital safety
    • Financial literacy exercises using spreadsheets
    • Preparing CVs and job applications
    • Entrepreneurship and business planning exercises
    • Each training cycle aims to work with 20 young people, and running two cycles per year.
