Project information
    Project description
Freetown Innovation Lab is a leading innovation and waste recycling non-profit organization in Sierra Leone, promoting circular economy solutions to address the country’s growing environmental challenges.
We recycle plastic waste, discarded tyres, textile waste, organic waste, and electronic waste into useful products such as furniture, waste bins, and eco-friendly construction materials.
Through our Innovation Lab, we equip women and young people with practical green, digital, and AI-enabled skills to raise sustainability awareness and apply technology to solve waste
management challenges. Our goal is to train and empower 300 youths by 2026, strengthening the workforce in Sierra Leone’s emerging green economy.
The laptops will be used as training tools, preloaded with learning materials, sustainability curricula, circular economy resources, and digital applications. They will enable hands-on training in digital technology, data collection, design, and innovation, helping young people use digital skills to drive waste recycling solutions and environmental impact.
