Project description
Digital Access for Underprivileged Learners in Nigeria. The project is aimed at providing refurbished laptops and digital learning tools to students in underserved Nigerian communities to
improve access to quality education.
The Michael-Jennifer-Clinton Dibie Foundation is implementing an initiative to improve access to quality education for children and young adults in underserved communities in Nigeria. Many schools in these areas lack basic digital learning resources, leaving students without the skills and exposure needed to participate effectively in today’s technology-driven world.
Through this project, we aim to equip selected public schools and community learning centers with refurbished laptops. These devices will be used to support:
1. Digital literacy training for students and teachers
2. Access to e-learning platforms and digital educational materials
3. Basic computer skills education, including typing, internet use, and research
4. ICT-supported classroom teaching to enhance the learning process
5. After-school learning programs for youths who lack access to computers at home
The laptops will be securely stored and managed by the participating schools under the supervision of the Foundation. Teachers will receive guidance on integrating digital tools into their
lessons, ensuring that students benefit sustainably from the equipment.
By providing digital access to learners in underprivileged communities, this project directly contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and helps bridge the digital
divide that limits educational and economic opportunities.
Our goal is to empower students with the knowledge and digital skills necessary to succeed academically and, ultimately, to contribute meaningfully to society.
