Governor Network of Women for Gender Equality (GOWE) is a community based organisation registered with Kyondo sub county local government Kasese district under registration number 330. GOWE is a woman led organisation focusing on bridging the gender gap in the rural communities where inequality tendencies between men and women are common. GOWE works with women self-groups and the primary role of GOWE is coordination. We connect them through exchange visits and inter group training. GOWE connects the groups to professional services such as trainings on modern farming, kitchen gardening and nutrition and financial literacy training opportunities and help others to start up their own businesses to have a first saving through the entrepreneurship skills acquired during the different trainings.
