Project information
    Project description
Since 1962, first military coup, Military seized power and overthrow the civilian government. That's why I fled my country in the late 2000s. After a short democracy from 2010, second military coup happened in 2021, since then, the military junta has displaced various ethnic groups, including the Chin people in the west. Villages have been bombed and burned, and we have lost many friends along the way, who have fought for our freedom. We are building a library and learning center with the aim of teaching tomorrow’s teachers and professional. In addition to being a house for culture and knowledge. Our goal is to help young adults and teenager who have been displaces. Many of these young people were in school when the coup happened but have very few to no opportunities to finish their schooling. In addition, we hope that the learning center can be a hub for education of teachers of various crafts and professions.
The laptops will be used in the learning center by our students to further assist them with their education.
